Palestine membership in United Nations on September 20

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki announced today that the Palestinian Authority will submit the request for membership of the State of Palestine in the United Nations on the twentieth of next month. Al–Maliki said in a press statement that President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas will present this request personally to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon at the opening of the sixty-sixth session of the United Nations General Assembly.
