NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan

NATO soldiers have been killed in an insurgent attack in the province of Kapisa, northeast of the Afghan capital, where mostly French soldiers are based, the alliance force said Wednesday. A Western military source said on condition of anonymity that five troops serving under NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) had been killed. "I can confirm that there has been an insurgent attack on ISAF forces in Kapisa resulting in a number of ISAF dead... and a number of Afghan civilian injuries," a spokesman for the coalition said.
