Libya's Jibril arrives in Baghdad

Mahmoud Jibril, head of Libya's ruling National Transitional Council (NTC) executive board arrived in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Thursday to meet with Iraqi leaders, an Iraqi official said. Jibril is expected to meet with top Iraqi officials, including Iraq's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, to discuss issues on bilateral relations, the official from the Iraqi Foreign Ministry told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. The Iraqi government recognized Libya's NTC as the only legitimate representative for the Libyan people on Aug. 23.
