Israeli army stages exercise

The Israeli occupation army has carried out a maneuver designed to examine the readiness of soldiers for the war. The Israeli occupation army radio said today that the staff of the army mobilized reservist soldiers for an exercise on the rules of armament with ammunition and equipment in the areas of the centre and north. The exercise was aimed at examining the speed of the reaction of soldiers and readiness to move immediately into war. The radio added that the soldiers have received telephone calls at six in the evening yesterday abruptly ordering them to report to their units. The exercise continued until four o''clock on Thursday. The army has decided to conduct maneuver against the backdrop of changes in the countries of the region, 48 hours before the so-called "Yom Kippur". According to Israeli reports the timing was not coincidental, but was rather part of preparing the army for the coming period in the light of changes occurring in the region.
