
French President Francois Hollande met on Wednesday with National Security and Defense Council over counter-terrorism and developments in Syria and Iraq, according to the Elysee.
Talks tackled assessment of current French measures to foil terrorist attacks targeting French lands.
The council lauded declining role of Daesh militant group in the Iraqi city of Mosul and the Syrian city of Raqqa.
