Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has conferred with representatives of the Jewish American organizations at the Egyptian Embassy in Washington.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said talks covered means of activating and enhancing the American relations with Egypt in the economic, political and military domains.
They also underlined the importance of intensifying political consultation on regional issues in order to work out solutions for the crises engulfing the Arab countries and the Middle East region, added the spokesman.
Shoukry, for his part, reviewed the Egyptian assessment to conditions in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Libya and their impact on security and stability of the Middle East region.
Abu Zeid also said the Egyptian top diplomat asserted the importance of enhancing American-Egyptian relations, noting that Egypt's success in its reform experience would come in line with the American interests and would contribute to achieving stability in the Middle East region.
Shoukry was also keen on answering queries on Egypt's vision to push ahead the Palestinian-Israeli peace process and the important role played by Egypt to bring the two sides back to the negotiation table in a bid to reach a just and permanent settlement for the Palestinian issue, according to the spokesman.
