Ramallah - Qna

The PLO Executive Committee Member, Saeb Erekat Monday denied that President Mahmoud Abbas retracted from his stance to seek United Nations full membership and recognition of a Palestinian state in September 20. Erekat said that Abbas’ decision, which is based on PLO’s and Fatah central committee resolutions, has been made clear in all meetings and will be further demonstrated in a letter to UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, who will pass it to the council. He said that these claims come in the context of the Israeli’s smear campaign against Abbas and the Palestinian Authority''s bid to go the UN.
