Beijing - Arab Today

China has urged all sides involved in the clashes in Myanmar to stay calm, and to immediately halt military operations, reported CCTV.com.
Spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Geng Shuang said China is seriously concerned about the clashes, and is closely monitoring the situation. He said China hopes all sides can resolve differences through dialogue and negotiation, in order to ensure peace in Myanmar.
Ethnic militant forces in Myanmar have clashed with the military in the northern area bordering China. Gunfire broke out at around 2-am local time on Sunday.
