
Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abo Al Ghait held today a telephone conversation with African Union (AU) Commission Chair Moussa Faki.
A statement released today from the Arab League said that the talks focused on enhancing Arab-African relations and developing the tools to do so. Abo Al Ghait said he looked forward for stronger cooperation in the coming period, particularly in relation to resolutions of the Fourth Africa-Arab Summit which took place in Equatorial Guinea in November 2016. For his part, Faki expressed his appreciation of ties between the AU and the Arab League. He stressed his commission's commitment to enhancing cooperation between the two organizations in all fields.
