Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump
Tokyo - Arab Today

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump have agreed to continue pushing North Korea, which continues to make dangerous provocations, to exercise self-restraint.
"We have completely agreed to strongly call for self-restraint by North Korea, which continues to repeat dangerous provocative acts," the Japanese premier told reporters Monday, following his 30 minutes phone call with Trump.
Abe described the talks as intensive. He said he appreciated Trump's words and actions.
He stressed that North Korea's nuclear and missile development is a grave security threat to Japan and the international community.
He referred to a joint drill involving Japanese destroyers and the USS Carl Vinson carrier strike group now underway in the Western Pacific.
He said his country will continue to closely work with the United States to maintain a high level of vigilance against possible North Korean actions.
