
The first Conference of the African Chiefs Justice and Heads of Supreme Courts started here on Sunday in the presence of Sudanese President Omar el Bashir.
Egyptian Deputy President of the Court of Cassation Farghali Abdel Rahim Zanati represents his country in the three-day event.
As many as 34 African states and judicial figures from China, India, Malaysia and Indonesia are taking part in the event.
The event tackles four axes, including the African experiment to solve disputes by alternative methods, independence of judicial system, developing judicial system mechanisms and border-crossing crimes, Sudanese Deputy Chief Justice Abdel Megid Idriss told MENA.
The event will also take up 14 work papers covering the four axes that are presented by Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Zambia, Ghana, Morocco, Mauritanian and China.
