Sanaa - Ali Rabea
A Yemeni Parliamentarian report revealed that about 396 Yemeni fishermen are currently detained in Eritrean prisons. The report, which Arabstoday received a copy of it, adds that there are also 860 fishing boats seized by authorities in Asmara. Yemeni authorities have been held responsible for the injustice against the Yemeni fishermen, stressing that "there is a lack of coordination between the concerned authorities to protect Yemeni national waters and inspection authorities."
