Voting for the Federal National Council Elections 2015 in 94 polling stations at UAE embassies and consulates around the world ended on Monday.

Emiratis in New Zealand were the first to cast their votes, while those in Los Angeles, United States, were the last, with voting closing at 6 PM local time in the respective countries.

Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Federal National Council of Affairs and Chairman of the National Elections Committee, praised the success of the electoral process outside the UAE, which was extended for the first time in the UAE missions abroad.

Dr. Gargash thanked H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, for the efforts made by the ministry and the diplomatic missions abroad to organise the election process.

Of the 1,389 voters abroad, distributed among the 94 polling stations, 280 cast their votes in Germany, 255 in the United States and 95 in the United Kingdom.
