Damascus – Georges Al Shami
The Vatican has denied the death of a Catholic Jesuit priest in Syria, after he was kidnapped two weeks ago. Father Siro Bindjtny, said the church was still assessing information, in relation to Father Paulo Dalilio’s whereabouts, though his safety could not be confirmed. Anti-government fighter, Lami el-Atasi, said the priest had been kidnapped by Syrian intelligence forces and had been executed. The Observatory for Human Rights accused Iraqi officials for being involved.
