US delegation urges developing relations with Egypt

A visiting US delegation has called for developing relations with Egypt in all fields, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said on Wednesday.
During a meeting with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday, the delegation, under US President Donald Trump's senior adviser Jared Kushner, praised the role played by Egypt to fight terrorism and extremism, and settle the Palestinian issue.
The delegation briefed the president on the US efforts to bring Palestinians and Israelis back to the negotiation table in the coming period.
Egypt seeks to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, Sisi said, adding that this move will help create a new reality in the Middle East and refute claims of terrorist groups in the region.
He further stressed Egypt's keenness on boosting relations with the US in all fields.
The meeting was attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and intelligence chief Khaled Fawzy.
