
he United Arab Emirates participated in the GCC-European Union political dialogue held in Brussels today.
The UAE was represented during the meeting by Ahmed Ali Al Balooshi, Director of the GCC Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Sulaiman Hamed Al Mazroeui, Head of the UAE Mission to the European Union and Non-Resident Ambassador to Luxembourg.
The meeting was co-chaired by Ahmed Sulaiman Al-Aquil, Director General of the European Department at the Saudi Foreign Ministry, and Nick Westcott, Managing Director for Middle East and North Africa at the European External Action Service.
The two sides discussed progress in GCC-EU relations and ways to enhance them, as well as issues of common interest. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
The two groups noted the identical views on political positions and expressed their keenness to further ties between the EU and GCC.
