A young Tunisian man was shot dead by officers of the Algerian National Guard in the province of Kasserine adjacent to the Algerian borders. The young man refused to respond to the commands of security to stop for check. After determining his identity Tunisian security forces handed the family of the young man his dead body. Meanwhile security forces continued intensive combing of the cities of Ain ??Draham and Fernana on Sunday, after arresting an armed man in Ain Draham two days ago. Witnesses confirmed to Arabstoday that military security which controls the entrances and exits of the province have continued combing operations in search of elements suspected of being linked to Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb. The security services have stopped 11 people in the Alhaanbe area for not possessing documents to prove their identity after the Interior Ministry in Tunisia announced on Saturday evening that it had detected a terrorist cell in connection with recruiting young people to fight in the ranks of Al-Qaeda.
