Tadweer conducts awareness sessions of "Your Waste, Your Responsibility" campaign in Western Region

Following the success of "Your Waste, Your Responsibility" campaign in Abu Dhabi, which focuses on raising awareness among employees, government institutions and schools on environmental and economic importance of reducing waste, and converting it into resources, the campaign was organised in the Western Region.

Tadweer, the Centre of Waste Management, Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Western Region Municipality conducted awareness sessions under the title "Western Region without Waste", in Tamm Centre for Government Services, Baynounah Complex, Emirates Scientific School, Al Khamael School, and Manar Al Ilm private school.

Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager of Tadweer, said, "Through this initiative, we aim to promote waste reduction, re-use and recycling among all members of society, in line with our core values that focus on sustainability, change and excellence, innovation, social responsibility, and in accordance with Abu Dhabi Vision 2030."

Mohsen Al Ameri, Tadweer’s Branch Manager in the Western Region, said, "We always strive to implement initiatives and activities that help educate the public about the importance of waste reduction and utilization through reuse and recycling rather than disposal. This is achieved through the development of awareness programs on waste reduction, reuse and sorting at source, and outreach programs for schools."

The significance of waste reduction and sorting was highlighted through various activities and contests, and a workshop on re-use, all of which received excellent interaction from the participants.
