The Syrian regime's air campaign continued unabated on several parts of Syria, particularly the governorates of Aleppo and Hama where scores of people, mainly civilians, were killed or injured, the Syrian opposition said Sunday evening. The warplanes dropped more powder kegs on Al-Intharat, Al-Saleheen, the industrial area, Al-Mowasalat and Masaken Hanano districts in Aleppo city as well as Heritan on its outskirts. Similar attacks targeted Al-Jowrah town - Deir Az-Zor governorate, Khan Al-Sheikh, and Daria Hosh Arab and Qalamun Mountains - Damascus. Meanwhile, fierce fighting around Al-Nayrab airbase, to the south-east of Aleppo, resulted in several deaths among the ranks of the regular and opposition forces. The rebel fighters claimed control on Al-Bowayida town on the outskirts of Hama city. Regarding the humanitarian operation in Homs, a military source said, in a statement to KUNA, dozens of evacuees from the city have been resettled in Beit Saham, Yelda and Bebila towns, on the outskirts of Damascus. The move followed a truce agreement reached by the government and opposition fighters to open a lifeline for civilians trapped in the conflict near the capital city. An aid convoy arrived in Al-Maadhamiya town, near Damascus, carrying 500 food parcels for the besieged people in the down. Source: KUNA
