Syrian government in Damascus will announce a cabinet reshuffle in the coming hours, according to reliable sources. This change will include ministries related to economic affairs, such as economic, foreign trade, consumer protection, internal trade, and finance. Sources revealed to Arab Today on Wednesday that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is not "satisfied" with the performance of some ministers. Media sources said that the Syrian leader delayed the government reshuffle issue until the end of the Baath party elections. Sources added that ministers of electricity, justice and public works, who have been elected for a leadership position in the party, will remain in their post until the announcement of the government reshuffle. Current Minister of Electricity, Emad Khamis is expected to head the government, Faisal al-Meqdad is expected to be appointed as foreign minister and Walid el-Mollem is expected to be appointed as vice president, or president's political adviser.
