The spokesman for Sudan's armed forces has claimed that an unidentified individual is impersonating him on social media website Facebook. Colonel al-Sawarmi Khalid Saad said that he had come across a Facebook account where someone was using his name and photos to build a following. The military commander issued a statement in which he warned about the potential consequences of the false Facebook account. Saad vowed to track down the person who had made the account, and reiterated that he does not use the website. The spokesman also distanced himself from statements published on the page which described Chairman of the Darfur Regional Authority, Dr Tijani al-Sisi, as "a war criminal."
