Sudanese Oil Minister Faisal Hammad has delivered a written message from his country’s president to Libyan National Congress chief Yousuf Maqrif, hailing a new era in relations between the two states. President Omar al-Bashir celebrated bilateral relations between Sudan and Libya. Hammad has revealed he discussed developments in both countries during meetings with Maqrif, claiming “talks also tackled future prospects for cooperation, including signed agreements.” "Al-Bashir's message to Maqrif expressed Sudan’s full satisfaction with the improvements in relations in the wake of the Libyan revolution,” Hammad added. Sudanese and Libyan officials are looking to intensify relations in oil and investment sectors, as well as improving border security between the two countries.
