Sisi-Kagame talks dealt with achieving integration

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday held talks with his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame in Kigali, followed by expanded talks between the delegations of both countries, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said in a statement on Tuesday night.
Kagame hailed distinguished relations binding the two countries, and Egypt's historic role in providing support for 
the African continent.
He added that both countries have an opportunity to enhance cooperation in various fields.
For his part, Sisi praised the steady development of bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of working towards enhance relations at all levels.
He stressed the importance of increasing the volume of trade exchange and opening channels of communication between business communities in the two countries to carry out joint projects in the fields of tourism, agriculture, energy and other fields.
The two presidents discussed means of achieving economic and developmental integration between the Nile basin countries, the spokesman said.
Egypt fully supports efforts made by the basin countries to achieve comprehensive development, while preserving the interests of the Egyptian people, who mainly depend on water from the Nile, Sisi affirmed.
The meeting also dealt with several regional issues, including the reform of the African Union, and ways to confront terrorism, Youssef added.
Sisi invited Kagame to take part in the international youth conference and the Africa 2017 forum, to be hosted in Egypt's Shram El Sheikh in November and December, the spokesman said.
Kagame welcomed the invitation, expressing hope he would visit Egypt soon, he added. (
