Shiite man stabs Druze sheikh in Lebanon

A Shiite man ?from the southern suburbs attacked a Druze sheikh with a knife following an argument in Lebanon's city of Shuweifat. As the news spread, Druze elders rushed to the scene to deal with the issue. An official from ?the Progressive Socialist Party in the area, Jalal al Jurdi, confirmed the incident, saying: “A ?Sheikh was attacked after a transportation conflict on Shuweifat–Sidon road. The two men argued vocally; the Druze sheikh attempted to hit the young man, who then pulled out a knife and stabbed the sheikh twice. The young man escaped leaving his motorcycle and the knife.”? The party official however denied that the sheikh belonged to any party.
