
The cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) denied the news fanned in media and websites about the increase of prices of subsidized bread after the decision made to liberalize of flour price to bakeries.
In a report issued on Wednesday, the IDSC said that it contacted the Supply and Internal Trade Ministry which denied the news, adding that the government is committed to offering bread loaf with five piasters.
The State is keen on making the subsidy reach those who deserve it, it noted.
The IDSC also denied the news published in social networking websites about the increase of prices of ration sugar and oil as of August.
The ministry stressed that there is no increase in the prices for the beneficiaries of ration cards who reach more than 70 million persons, the report mentioned.
