Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa
Manama - Egypt Today

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s success to overcome the repercussions of the Iranian aggression against it, adding that the security situation has gone back to normal.
In an interview with Editor-in-Chief of Kuwaiti Esiyasa newspaper which was posted today, HRH the Premier said thanks to the vigilance of the security bodies, those who were trying to destabilise the country had been isolated. He pointed out that cooperation between the constitutional institutions is far better than before, lauding understanding between the social components as well as the government and non-government institutions which realised where the interest of the nation lies.

HRH the Prime Minister underlined the ongoing and unrelenting efforts to further strengthen the economy, pointing out the efforts currently made to boost local and foreign investments and increase the flexible governmental resolutions to further serve the national economy, activate the role of the private sector, improve the infrastructure, optimise services, fast-track growth in the business and banking sector and provide more job opportunities.

Commenting on the wave of terrorism striking some countries in the world, HRH the Premier pointed out that when some countries started confronting some terror acts on their lands, they began to comprehend Bahrain’s stance and the aggression targeting it. The image, he noted, has become clearer after the terrorist groups were laid bare and showed that they all serve one end which is serving the interest of some countries that believe that they can impose their dominance on the world through terrorism.

HRH the Premier praised the Saudi and GCC role supporting Bahrain, looking forward to more cooperation in the future. He also lauded the major role and understanding of the new US administration and its support to the Arab countries which are fighting terrorism. He hailed the outcome of the Arab Islamic-US summit which convened in Riyadh last May and the role of the GCC countries in combating terrorism after the states backing it were laid bare.

HRH the Prime Minister praised return of stability to Bahrain after deterring the Iranian-backed threats. He also affirmed the need to preserve the GCC system which showed strength on many occasions, the most recent of which when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was targeted by Iran through the Houthis. He emphasised that individual work does not preserve regional security and called for more concerted GCC efforts to maintain stability in the region.
