Egypt Today, egypt today PRC: Targeting Egyptian soldiers is criminal

Ramallah – Sona al-Deak

Abu Mujahid, spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) has blasted those responsible for an attack on Egyptian border guard forces that resulted in the death of 16 soldiers. "They have committed immoral acts and are criminals, unworthy of Islam," he said. He denounced their "implementation of Israeli agendas" and condemned any accusations against Palestinian resistance factions. Abu Mujahid said to Arabstoday that the operation focused on the Egyptian people and their achievement in the revolution. He said to "target the fight on Israel, instead of attacking fasting Muslims". He also referred to  Egypt’s national security as essential to that of Palestine. In a statement sent to Arabstoday, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) also denounced the murder of Egyptian soldiers on the Egyptian-Palestinian border. The PIJ said that murdering Egyptian soldiers "only serves the Zionist enemy who is trying to divide Egypt and Palestine".
