
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Sunday chaired a meeting on developing Montaza district of Alexandria governorate and the best ways to maximize its use as a tourist and archaeological area.
The ministers of justice, finance, public business sector, and tourism took part in the meeting.
The World Tourism Organization is conducting a field study on the region to find the best means to ensure its development in a way that preserves its cultural identity.
A report on plans to preserve the district's cultural heritage will be submitted to the cabinet within two weeks.
