Vietnam's national flag carrier reported Monday that a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner's door has been broken due to collision with passenger boarding bridge.
Accordingly, a door of the airplane coded VN963 of Vietnam Airlines was broken during preparation for a flight from Vietnam's capital Hanoi to southern Ho Chi Minh City on Monday morning.
According to initial assessment, due to technical staff's manipulation fault at Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi, passenger boarding bridge collided with airplane door, causing the incident, reported Vietnam's state-run news agency.
After the incident, the airlines arranged another plane for the flight while the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has been sent to workshop for damage assessment and repair.
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, being put into operation by Vietnam Airlines since 2015, is currently the most modern airplane of the national flag carrier.
