Palestinians killed amid continued border clashes

Two Palestinians were killed on Saturday and more than 20 others were wounded in an Israeli attack,sources said. Clashes erupted along the border in which three soldiers were also injured. "Two Palestinians were killed and 22 others wounded, six of them are in critical condition," said spokesman Yahya Khader of the Hamas government's emergency services in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian witnesses said earlier that Gaza militants fired a rocket at an Israeli jeep that exploded on the edge of the border, east of Gaza City. This prompted Israelis to respond with artillery fire, sources said. Three soldiers were wounded, two in critical condition. Israeli army radio said the jeep was blown up by an anti-tank rocket. With tensions mounting in the borders, five Palestinians were also injured in Israeli air raid near Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, sources said.
