A Palestinian youth set himself alight outside the ministry of social affairs office in the northern Gaza Strip. Sources said the young man poured petrol over his body and set himself on fire on Thursday, after an argument with a civil servant. Office employees tried to control the fire and rescue the young man, eventually succeeding in putting out the flames before the ambulance arrived. Sources say a police probe has been launched and the government bureau is closed until the investigation is complete. Ministry of health spokesperson Ashraf al-Kedra said four people arrived at Kamal Adwan hospital with burns, one of whom in a "very serious" condition. They were later transferred to al-Shifaa hospital in Gaza City.
