Particular media reports have suggested that fighters have joined forces against the Syrian opposition, expressing this move to be "tendentious and irresponsible". However, the Palestinian organisation has denied the accusations in a statement, adding that the information is incorrect and the group's central priorities like in "the fight against Zionist enemies who occupy Palestine." However the Movement has called for a political solution that guarantees unity and ends the Syrian violence.
