Palestine's foreign ministry has called on the Israeli government to open an investigation against former Israeli minister Naftali Bennett, following his statement, "I've killed lots of Arabs in my life and there's no problem with that." In a press statement, the Palestinian diplomatic institution called for organisations to deal with this matter in a serious manner, urging for a trial in front of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Palestine's foreign ministry said: "Following Naftali Bennett's statement, the Israeli government should open a transparent investigation into this matter if it wants to prove its respect for the law." A number of lawyers and rights organisations in a number of EU countries are calling on authorities to issue arrest warrants against Israeli politicians who are associated with committing war crimes.
