Nouakchott - Mohamed Abeidi Cherif

Mauritanian opposition reached Saturday Aleg city, north of Nouakchott, in its tour that aims to call Mauritanians to start demanding change the regime, and overthrow Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz. Ahmed Ould Daddah, the head of the Rally of Democratic Forces party said that Ould Abdel Aziz’s regime is worse than the military regimes that came to Mauritania, calling on Mauritanians to overthrow his corrupt regime. Aleg city is the first stop in the Mauritanian opposition’s tour which includes a number of Mauritanian cities to mobilize for protests against the regime. For his part, opposition’s leader Ahmed Ould Sidi Baba accused Ould Abdel Aziz of leading the country towards disaster because of his tyranny and corruption of his regime. Meanwhile, Jamil Ould Mansour the chairman of Tawassoul Islamic Party called to protest against Ould Abdel Aziz’s regime which corrupted all Mauritanian institutions, especially health and education institutions, as well as the political corruption.
