Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday issued an order to immediately distribute gas masks to all Israeli citizens, according to an Israeli Radio. The decision comes after a military drill was conducted after recent reports of chemical attacks carried out by the Syrian government against anti-regime troops. The exercise, called Turning Point 7, tested the country's readiness for chemical and conventional rocket attacks. "We are deep in the era of missiles that are aimed at civilian population areas," Netanyahu said during a meeting of the Emergency Economy Committee. The committee is led by Defense Minister Gilad Erdan. He stated that the Israeli army would consider ‘all options' if they feel that safety of its citizens is under threat. Another military drill is planned in the next few weeks, which is reported to include rescue and safety training.
