
Head of the Egyptian Corporation for the Maintenance and Renovation of Railways Ashraf Raslan said Monday that Farshut-Nag Hammadi railway track was under renovation.
Raslan explained that renovation works cover the distance from
552 km to 554.6 km.
He pointed that a four-kilometer distance has already been developed, adding that work is still ongoing in other locations.
Meanwhile, he said the corporation renovated 31.6 km of railway tracks in the first half of 2017.
The corporation is currently raising the target of railway renovations to an average of seven km monthly and carrying out the maintenance of 769.75 km of railway tracks, he added.
