Gaza - Mohammed Habib

Several Israeli military vehicles entered the Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning, near the eastern cemetery, east of Gaza City. The occupying forces have continually violated the Egyptian-sponsored truce agreement signed between the Palestinian factions and the occupation. Meanwhile, Israeli reconnaissance planes started flying over the Gaza Strip since last night in order to monitor movements of citizens in light of the ongoing preparations for the visit of Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi and a group of Muslim Scholars, who will arrive in Gaza this evening. Israeli radio said that the Southern Command of the Israeli army has raised its alert for fear of any clashes between Palestinian civilians, and the occupying forces positioned at the borders. The occupation forces also deployed elements of the Israeli police in the West Bank, in anticipation of any clashes in the wake of the Sheikh Qaradawi speech, which is likely to be anti Israeli.
