‘Monster’ Assad 'will be tried in Lebanon'

Lebanon’s former Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri said in a statement today that the “monster” Assad has lost his political, moral and humanitarian validity. He claimed that the Syrian president would be held accountable not only by his own people but also the Lebanese justice system, for his involvement in terrorism and assassinations committed against the Lebanese people. He added that an arrest warrant would be issued against Assad, who will be prosecuted for “shedding blood in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq, in addition to the genocide committed against his own people.”
