The Minister of Interior has issued decisions to implement the Cabinet directives following the decision to sever ties with Qatar.
The directives were issued by the Cabinet at its weekly session chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to all ministries and departments to take the necessary measures.
In his decision, the Minister of Interior, Shaikh Rahid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, directed all concerned departments to bar Bahrainis from travelling to, staying in or transiting through Qatar and Qataris from entering or transiting through Bahrain.
Under the decision, Qatari residents and visitors have 14 days to leave the Kingdom.
The minister also directed to follow up on the exit of Qatari boats and ships beyond Bahrain’s territorial waters.
