Cairo - Arab Today

The second forum of Libyan tribal leaders is expected to issue a draft statement describing the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization and banning all its activities inside and outside, MENA learnt on Thursday.

Also, the statement will include several items notably a proposal to dissolve all Libyan political parties due to the tribal nature of the Libyan society.

Gamal Hessen, one of the prominent Libyan tribes' notables said that the agreed upon draft statement listed items related to preserving the unity of the Libyan territories, helping the displaced people to return home and establishing a higher council for Libyan tribes after approving the Parliament.

The attendees agree to boycott those who support the terrorist groups in Libya and demanded cooperation with Libyan army forces to fight these terror organizations.

Furthermore, they called on the Arab League (AL) to play an active role towards Libya and activate the joint Arab defense pact to back the Libyan army to combat terrorism.

The participants thanked Egypt for its supportive stance towards the Libyan people.

They paid tribute to the role performed by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE to settle the Libyan crisis.
