Egyptian lawyers Yussry Abdel Razek and Mohamed Abdel-Razek applied to the Attorney General requesting the transfer of former President Hosni Mubarak to Maadi military hospital, due to his poor health. The lawyers accused the government of endangering the former president's life. They cited Act 35 of 1979, which guarantees that officers of the armed forces who fought in the October War had the right to restore their military position at the end of any civilian job they have. According to the lawyers former president Mubarak, who was commander of the air force, is Lieutenant General right now, one of the highest military ranks. The lawyers who asked for the transfer of Mubarak to a military hospital held the Interior Minister responsible for the deterioration of his health.
