Amman - Osama Arrantissi
The editor-in-chief of the Jordanian newspaper Al-Rai, Samih Maaytah confirmed that he has been dismissed from his position. Maaytah was appointed in this position for four months, where he worked as a media advisor for the Prime Minister. Maaytah will be replaced by Majid Asfour, who was retired but continued writing in Al-Rai. Journalistic circles were surprised by the government’s decision to dismiss Maayta.  Since his reported dismissal, Maaytah was offered the post of director of the department of press and publication. Maaytah’s dismissal comes one day after the  editor-in-chief of Al-Ghadd newspaper, Mostafa Saleh resignation and  of  Al-Arab Al-Youm newspaper, Fahad Khaytan.
