Iraqi forces retook parts of Ramadi, located in Anbar province, and freed some parts of it from the control of Daesh terrorist group.

The extremist organization planted explosive charges which hinder the progress of the Iraqi forces.

In press statements on Wednesday, Anbar Operation Command Mohamed Khalaf said that the joint forces managed to free 30 percent of Sofia area in eastern Ramadi where there are explosive charges, booby-trapped houses and snipers affiliated to Daesh.

For his part, the spokesman of the anti-terrorism apparatus Sabah al Noman said that the forces of the golden squad achieved progress during the last hours in the northern areas of Ramadi.
