Iraqi army colonel killed in Mosul's clashes

The Iraqi Defense Ministry announced, on Saturday, the killing of a commander of Iraqi army regiment during the fighting in the city of Mosul against militants of IS terrorist organization. "The commander of the third regiment in the 91nd Brigade in the army, Colonel Salah Hassan Salman, was killed today during battles in the old city west of Mosul," Iraqi army said in a statement.
Meanwhile, an officer in the rank of lieutenant in the federal police was killed today in the battles of the old city. Fierce battle is taking place in the old city, between the Iraqi forces and IS militants.
