
Housing Minister Mostafa Madboli, Youth Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz, Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Wali and Cairo Governor Atef Abdel Hamid agreed on starting the implementation of the investment and service plan in Asmarat housing project in Cairo's suburb of Mokattam.
In a statement of the Housing Ministry on Monday, Madboli said that there is coordination with the Ministry of Education to start building governmental schools immediately along with establishing a center for vocational training.
Meanwhile, the minister said coordination is also underway with Cairo governorate to put the investment zone up for investors to get the highest revenue, Madboli said.
During the meeting, Madboli urged the officials of the New Urban Communities Authority to put a vision for the investment zone and the perfect activities to be established in it.
Meanwhile, Abdel Aziz said that a new branch of Gezira youth center will be established in Asmarat area.
Also, Wali said that a nursery and elderly care house will be established in the area, asserting the importance of increasing kindergarten schools in the area.
Service land allocation decisions will be issued immediately, Abdel Hamid said.
Executive Director of Slum Development Fund Khaled Sedeq said that Asmarat is a new example for serving the social housing areas.
