Yemen's Huthi rebels and forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh continued breaking the ceasefire on Friday by bombing residential neighborhoods in Taiz randomly using tanks and artillery shells.
A local Yemeni website reported that Huthi forces have so far failed to restore Aroos mountain which overlooks Taiz, where 12 of their militants were killed and scores were injured.
Violent clashes erupted in the early hours of the morning between rebels and resistance forces killed 11 Huthi militants, before rebels bombed citizens' houses with tanks, killing six people and wounding dozens.
Three civilians, including two children, were killed and several others injured as a result of the artillery bombardment, bringing the civilian death toll today to nine people, and more than 40 others wounded, medical sources confirmed.
