Amman - Iman Abu Kaoud

Hundreds of Jordanians have protested outside Amman’s US embassy to protest against an upcoming visit by US President Barack Obama. Leftist and pan-Arabist demonstrations burned US and Israeli flags, yelling anti-American chants. National Progressive Current leader Khaled Ramadan told Arabstoday the protestors believe the US is responsible for "assaults on the region," refusing to allow Obama to “wear the guise of the Dove of Peace.” Obama’s Thursday speech to a Jerusalem youth conference in Israel demonstrated his “blatant bias towards the Zionist entity,” Ramadan claimed.
