Security sources in south Lebanon have said that Lebanon's Shiite Hezbollah intercepted a Spanish military patrol in the area. The latter are working with international UNIFIL troops in the Lebanese town of Baleada, near the border with Israel. Sources added that Hezbollah elements accused individuals from the Spanish unit of taking photos of a house belonging to one of Hezbollah's victims in Syria. This is the first reported clash between fighters of the Lebanese movement and UNIFIL troops since the involvement of the Shiite movement in the Syrian conflict. Meanwhile, EU foreign ministers will decide on Monday whether to blacklist Hezbollah. A decision to place the militia on the European Union list of terrorist groups requires approval by all 28 national ministers and it will take time, if agreed, to proceed to actual sanctions.
