Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri received National Struggle Front's [SNF] chief Walid Jumblatt at al-Hariri's Paris residence on Saturday. The two discussed the various facets of situation in the region and the challenges facing Lebanon. A statement by Hariri's office said the two "reasserted the need to preserve the Taif constitution and the coexistence formula in Lebanon" adding that these factors "safeguard national unity and stability in the face of these challenges." The meeting came 24 hours after Hariri met with the leader of the Lebanese Phalanges Party Amine Gemayel to discuss electoral law proposals and the initiative which Hariri is set to announce Thursday evening on TV programme Kalam en-Nass [Gossip].
