Gaza - Mohammed Habib

The Prime Minister of the previous Palestinian government, Ismail Haniyeh, has said to activate “security cooperation” with Egypt and Gaza and reiterated that his country is ready to cooperate with Egypt and protect security, common interests and borders between the two countries. In a press statement on Sunday, Haniyeh added: “We want security coordination with our brothers and strategic depth and not with the Zionist enemy. We will not leave Palestine and will not settle in Sinai or any other place in east or west, Gaza is an original part of Palestine and today we will stand by our land and our homeland sand and reject an alternative nation and emigration and settlement," confirming that Gaza will remain a trench to defend the nation and will remain an arena of conflict. Haniyeh stated the public mood in Palestine is happy: “We are happy for two reasons, the first one is that God saved us from hellfire in Ramadan and our second joy is the saving of Gaza’s land as we stand against the occupation.” “We are happy to see our Arab world and Islamic nation’s sons live with us at the feast and come to our country from far and near to break this occupation”. Haniyeh promised to free the Palestinians detainees in Israeli jails; He assured his audience that the “resistance” is determined to free the rest of the Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. Haniyeh saluted the steadfastness of Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails saying: “Greetings to you, our great heroes and majestic mountains of resistance we will free a large number of you will not forget you."
